Note from Suzann
In 1976 I received a telephone call from Elizabeth and Addison Owings, the authors of the Owings and Allied Families book. A member of their network of friends and relatives found my name in the Albuquerque phone book (remember those?).
The Owingses told me about their efforts of many years to find everyone in the country with the surname of Owings. I directed them to my father who then collaborated with his father to make certain we were included. That was nearly 50 years ago!
